This Workshop / Course is designed to provide proper barista basics that can help any coffee enthusiast beef up their home barista skills. Students of this course will receive foundational barista training and knowledge, taking what they've learned as a point of entry into the profession.
The ULTIMATE GOAL of this course is to provide training and offer an entry-level skill that can help change someone's life and create a new career path in the industry, whether it be with OSO Coffee or any other coffee shop in the city. More in-depth training can be provided to those interested in working in the industry outside of this basic workshop.
This course will teach and cover the following:
Coffee history
Proper espresso machine operation
Understanding the different grind settings for various coffee brewing techniques
"Dialing In" the coffee grinder and the perfect espresso shot
How to steam milk (whole and alternative milks)
How to prepare all of the classic espresso based drinks
Brewing machine maintenance (daily cleaning protocols for espresso machine, grinder, and other brewing tools)
Pour over basics
Latter art basics
And More
Each class includes complimentary drinks, cocktails if you wish, and lite bites.
What we teach through this 2.5 hr course are not only coffee basics, but very important skills necessary for brewing consistent, great tasting coffee and espresso based drinks. No experience is necessary, but a love for coffee, a willingness to learn, and practice.
