WANT TO JOIN THE OSO TEAM?
BARISTAS, COOKS, & KITCHEN
OSO IS HIRING. Most coffee shops "HIRE", but here at OSO Coffee we are more interested in "Building a TEAM" and training that team to be the best baristas and coffee professionals possible. In addition to bringing seasoned baristas into the team, we're also looking for people with no experience that want to learn the industry and the barista trade. We also have a few openings for cooks and the kitchen team.

LEARN TO BARISTA WORKSHOP / COURSE
3 EVENINGS | 12 - 15 HRS | $350
LEARN A TIMELESS TRADE.
This Workshop / Course is designed to provide proper barista basics that can help any coffee enthusiast get started with a career in the industry or simply beef up your home barista skills. Students of this course will receive foundational barista training and knowledge, taking what they've learned as a point of entry into the profession. Through this course, OSO Coffee will also determine which students, if any, would be a good fit for the OSO team and discuss possible employment options.
The ULTIMATE GOAL of this course is to provide training and offer a skill that can help change someone's life and create a new career path in the industry, whether it be with OSO Coffee or any other coffee shop in the city.
This course will teach and cover the following:
- Proper espresso machine operation
- Understanding the different grind settings for various coffee brewing techniques
- "Dialing In" the coffee grinder and the perfect espresso shot
- How to steam milk (whole and alternative milks)
- How to prepare all of the classic espresso based drinks
- Cold Brew basics
- Brewing machine maintenance (daily cleaning protocols for espresso machine, grinder, and other brewing tools)
- Pour over basics
- Latter art basics
- How to talk with customers about coffee and the different types of coffee based drinks
- And More
What we teach through this 3 evening course (up to 15 hours), are not only coffee basics, but very important skills necessary for brewing consistent, great tasting coffee and espresso based drinks. No experience is necessary, but a love for coffee, a willingness to learn, and practice.
Note that many similar courses can cost 2 - 3 times this amount, but we're able to provide this lower rate out of a interest to find potentially great team members for OSO and also help increase the pool of barista candidates for other coffee shops.
